Explore our new routes in Indonesia

Jakarta, Indonesia – 16 March 2026. Forget the hours spent in traffic or the queasy boat rides – your view of Indonesia is about to change. Santai Seaplane Indonesia, a Seaplane Asia Group subsidiary, connects you to the archipelago's most stunning destinations that offer a spectacular perspective only the sky can deliver. We invite you to trade long commutes for a thrilling aerial adventure – The Ultimate View, Scenic Flights Above the Archipelago.

Bali – From Volcano to Deep Blue

Even if you know Bali, you haven’t truly seen it until you soar above it. Glide with the birds and feel a tranquility sea level can’t deliver. Vapor clouds swirl over volcanoes, Manta rays dance through sapphire waters, and shadows stretch across Uluwatu’s cliffs before disappearing into the deep blue. In under an hour, the tour takes you inland to Mount Agung and the serene caldera of Batur, drifting over Tegallalang rice terraces and witnessing Bali from seashore to crater—without the traffic below.

East Java – The Volcanic Majesty of Ijen

For an experience that skips the grueling midnight climb, view the remarkable Ijen volcano from the air. Kawah Ijen is famed for its electric-blue crater lake and the unforgettable blue sulfur flames at dawn. From a seaplane, you can see the full majesty of the caldera without a single hike required: the turquoise lake, the active sulfur vents, and the dramatic volcanic landscape surrounding it all – Routes, Time Saved, Adventures Gained.

We're turning hours-long island transfers into scenic, seamless flights, allowing you to discover more of Indonesia.

Northern Bali’s Secret: Escape the crowds of the south and reach Northern Bali's peaceful shores. What was once a five-hour trip across the highlands becomes a scenic twenty-minute flight between Wisnu Airport and Ngurah Rai.

Crossing the Straits: We've made the journey between the coast of East Java and Northern Bali effortless. Skip the ferry crossings and lengthy, seven-hour trips between Banyuwangi and Ngurah Rai. Whether you fly between Wisnu Airport and Banyuwangi, or Banyuwangi and Ngurah Rai, Santai Seaplane connects these close, but geographically separated, destinations in just twenty to thirty minutes. Plus, Banyuwangi is home to our partner, Dialoog Banyuwangi, a stunning coastal hotel (Insider Tip: amazing breakfast!).

The Untamed Neighbor: Lombok – known as Bali’s quieter, more untamed neighbor, Lombok is now just a twenty-minute seaplane trip away. We connect Ngurah Rai International Airport with West Lombok, including the Mandalika region. You’ll fly over the Nusa Penida islands, completely bypassing the occasionally rough and long boat journey across the Lombok Strait. And for the ultimate adventure, we are progressing on water-landing rights at Mount Rinjani, which could make a world-first seaplane landing on Lombok’s volcanic crater lake possible.

Moyo Island: The Ultimate Escape: Reach one of Indonesia's most isolated and pristine getaways — Moyo Island. Renowned for its waterfalls, forests, and exceptional diving, this hidden gem is located off the northwest coast of Sumbawa. Instead of three to eight hours by flight, island transfer, and boat ride, the Santai Seaplane takes you straight from Bali in a ninety-minute flight. Moyo Island is home to Amanwana, one of our destination resort partners, featuring a secluded luxury tented camp in a private bay.

Beyond the Routes – The Versatility of Seaplane Charter

A seaplane is built for versatility. We are not restricted to typical airports because we can land on water, as well as short, rough airstrips made of gravel, grass, and dirt. This flexibility allows us to build new water landing and takeoff sites in some of Indonesia's most stunning and remote places, with more sites in progress across Lombok, Gili, Labuan Bajo, and Kangean. From connecting the Java corridor for business to leisure connectivity between Surabaya and Malang, we offer customized charters to destinations throughout the region.
