Further East 2025

From November 3–7, the annual luxury travel gathering Further East returned to Bali, an event known for blending high-level hospitality insights with a relaxed, bali-vibe atmosphere. More than a conference, Further East brings together global travel visionaries to explore emerging trends, future destinations, and the next evolution in immersive journeys. This year’s event hosted more than 300 companies, each showcasing unique takes on the future of luxury travel. 

Amid the lively energy and an impressive lineup of scheduled meetings, Seaplane Asia emerged as a standout presence. Over the course of three days, Group Chief Commercial Officer Michael J. “Mickey” Aumock navigated a packed schedule of high-energy business meetings, connecting with more than 40 partners and prospects from across the globe.

“No breaks… and it was fantastic!” Aumock remarked.

From family scenic tours over Phang Nga Bay to dream honeymoons, wedding proposals, and multi-stop itineraries across Southeast Asia, attendees were eager to explore how seaplane travel could elevate their guests’ journeys — whether it’s a romantic flight to Bali Gapura ‘The Gap’, a coastal hop through The Gilis, or a breathtaking approach over Komodo National Park. Mickey shared insights into routes, service models, and the broad spectrum of clients who benefit from the freedom of point-to-point air travel.
