Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport
Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport is the main airport serving Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi and the largest city in eastern Indonesia. Located 26 kilometres north of the city centre in Maros Regency, the airport is a critical regional hub connecting the western and eastern halves of the Indonesian archipelago.
A new terminal expansion significantly increased capacity, featuring batik-inspired architectural motifs. The airport is a key gateway for travellers heading to the Togean Islands, Tana Toraja, and the Raja Ampat island chain via connecting flights to Sorong.
